Uncle John's work

Here are some of my Great-Uncle John Risley's (1920 - 2002) amazing work.

I found these pictures on the internet - I wish I had some photos of his cabin that he built and furnished himself in Belgrade Lakes, ME.

When I was little he took me down the spiral stairs to his workshop and let me pick out a sculpture to keep. I chose the smallest thing I could find out of all of the chairs and giant sculptures - a wood and brass turtle. 

I still have it. I'll post a picture of it someday.
